A joint bid by the UK Formula18 Association & Hayling Island Sailing Club, to host the European championships in either 2015 or 2016. F18 Association

Great Britain has not held a major international F18 event since the 2001World Championships in Poole.

Hayling Island Sailing Club

Hayling Island Sailing Club is one of the premier sailing clubs in the UK, occupying a magnificent site at the entrance to Chichester Harbour on the South Coast of England for over 80 years. HISC is very fortunate to have the only sandy beaches on Hayling Island, which are great for sailors families. The club has hosted many Worlds, European & National Championships including;

! 2010 Worlds (260 boats)

! 2011 Worlds (80 boats)

! 2012 Feva World Championships (195 boats) The club is the host the Int Worlds in 2014.

! International Race Officer ! London 2012 – & Courses PRO ! Ex Race officer for I-shares Cup & Extreme Sailing Series (Extreme 40). ! Ex Olympic Campaigner/Coach ! Member of HISC (Local Knowledge).

Tim is one of three international Race Officers that are members of HISC, the majority of the race team at HISC were involved with the London 2012 sailing events. Rescue & Safety

HISC is an open sea venue and takes the safety of competitors taking part in Championships very seriously. HISC has possibly one of the largest safety boat resources of any sailing club in the World and will be providing the highest competitor to safety boat ratio as required by the World Council. During the Championship, HISC will employ a Safety Officer who will work with the PRO to look after the safety of competitors taking part in the Worlds. When necessary, safety briefings will be given so that competitors have all the information they require about conditions on the race course. Event Programme 2015
