The block[s] of ice are then loaded on to toboggan and hauled up to the storage area and covered with sawdust from the fall sawing. This came up by the first motor launch to the police detachment, later to Old Crow. This mail would have been building up all winter, from freeze up to break-up in spring. In the summer of 1930 the O.C.B." Division, Dawson, Y.T. said the police should make one dog patrol to Fort Yukon, Alaska in time to be back with the mail for Christmas. The #138 photo shows me on the return journey from Fort Yukon, Alaska to Old Crow, 1930.
