Stockholm July 23, 2012 The Absolut Company introduces THE RELAUNCH OF FRÏS®, THE WORLD’S ONLY FREEZE-DISTILLED VODKA

Frïs Vodka, the world’s only freeze-distilled vodka, is re-launching its award-winning brand and unveiling a new range of flavors with a distinct frozen twist.

Invented in Scandinavia, Frïs is created through a patented freeze-distillation process unlike any other. While most vodkas use heat to remove impurities, Frïs is using a continuous distillation process and then it is chilled to 14 F (- 10C). The process allows impurities to be frozen and extracted so only the purest, most refreshing flavor remains. The result is a smooth, dynamic vodka that captures the spirit of Scandinavia, where high standards are a priority, great design is revered and innovation is a way of life.

To mark its relaunch, Frïs has created a dramatic new bottle design inspired by the brand’s geographic roots. A chiseled ice-grey exterior embodies the deep chill of the Nordics and marks a confident departure from the staid packaging of traditional vodka brands.

Reinforcing its heritage as a leader in innovative spirits development, Frïs has formulated two new Frïs flavors that deliver a delicious, shivering sensation with every sip. Frïs Citrus Freeze marries the purity of freeze-distilled vodka to the clean, crisp taste of freshly cut citrus fruit. Frïs Orange Freeze elevates the intensity of juicy orange with the light freshness of mandarin.

Best enjoyed ice-cold, the full range of flavors will be available in the United States beginning in mid-July.
