CLEMSON — Focusing on the individual needs of its resi- dents, a senior living facility in Clemson prides itself in the care it provides through its assisted living, independent and memo- ry care options. Clemson Heritage Senior Liv- ing opened in November 2019. It currently houses about 36 res- idents, including two couples, who range in age from about 68 to 104 years old, according to community relations director Debbie Duncan. “It’s an all-inclusive commu- nity, which means we don’t do different levels of care,” she said. “The price includes every- thing from med management and daily care to social engage- ments and food. Residents can enjoy living life without having to worry about daily stresses.” The site features 14 inde- pendent living cottages and 48 assisted living apartments that have different options, including studio, one-bedroom or a shared apartment for two people. Memory care options include 24 units that are available as studio or one-bedroom apart- ments. Residents have the option to share a total of 24 assisted living and memory care units. “It is a secured unit for those PHOTOS BY JERRY BEARD | THE JOURNAL exit-seeking (residents) or if From left, community relations director Debbie Duncan, business office manager Bailey Dull and executive director Amy Howard welcome they just need a little more visitors into Clemson Heritage Senior Living in Clemson. eyes on them to make sure that they’re safe,” executive director Amy Howard said. “They have a the person that they go to,” she gated, secured courtyard where said. “I do the contacts with the they can go out into the com- families, contacts with staff, munity, but still have a secured maintain records of compliance atmosphere.” with the nursing department, so Health care services are I do a little bit of everything.” available to residents onsite Harrison said she enjoys her through the “house calls” work. program of Providence Medi- “I love it here.
