Te facilities include six clinical skills laboratories containing 90 phantom heads – each with full IT connectivity and state-of-the- art AV. Tese include specialist laboratories for the teaching of microscopy, prosthodontics, orthodontics and digital workfows. Tere are two lecture theatres, four meeting rooms, three open- plan areas for fexible working as well as a number of staf ofces. In addition, to bolster the Institute’s notable success in clinical research and education, the facility houses a clinical suite of eight treatment rooms (with a comprehensive video capture system), clinical laboratory and CBCT equipment. Te creation of the new facilities marks the frst phase of the Together, we are stronger Institute’s redevelopment and will shortly be followed by the opening bda.org/join of new laboratory-based facilities within the UCL Campus of the Royal Free Hospital, London. Te new facilities within the Rockefeller building will further cement the strong partnership between the Institute and UCLH Royal National ENT and Eastman Dental Hospital. Te investment in the creation of a new NHS hospital by University College NHS Foundation Trust and new Institute facilities both in Bloomsbury and the Royal Free Hospital totals over £130 million and The BDA is owned and run by its members.
