Community School of Music and Arts Presents Cellist Yulia Fomicheva & Pianist Keisuke Nakagoshi on November 7

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA – Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) presents cellist Yulia Fomicheva and pianist Keisuke Nakagoshi who will perform on Saturday, November 7 at ​ ​ 7:30pm. Fomicheva and Nakagoshi will perform music from including , Sergei Rachmaninov and Nikolai Myaskovsky, who began their lives in Imperial . This evening’s program will include: Igor Stravinsky: “Suite Italienne” arrangement for and piano : “Prelude and Oriental dance” for cello and piano Nikolai Myaskovsky: “Sonata No 2“ for cello and piano

Yulia Fomicheva attended renowned institutions in , Russia where she earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music degrees. She later earned her PsD degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. She has won numerous international music competitions and has performed as a soloist, a member of ensembles and orchestras in the United States, Russia, China, England and Germany. She is currently a faculty member teaching cello and piano at CSMA.

Keisuke Nakagoshi attended the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Composition and Master’s degree in Chamber Music. After graduating, he was selected to represent the San Francisco Conservatory of Music for the Kennedy Center’s Conservatory Project which features the most promising young musicians from major conservatories across the country. Keisuke has performed to acclaim on prestigious concert stages including the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, the Hollywood Bowl and Davies

This event is part of CSMA’s 2020-2021 Community Concert Series. In keeping with CSMA’s mission to provide Arts for All, Community Concerts are free and open to the public. CSMA provides unique music and visual arts programming and events for audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
