On June 11, 2012, the Congregation for Divine Wor- ship granted the title of Minor Basilica to the new church at the sanctuary of Fatima. Located on the gigantic esplanade directly opposite the Church of the Our Lady of the of Fatima, the new basilica was consecrated for worship in 2007.
