EAST COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

The (A264 ) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 201*

Notice is hereby given that East Sussex County Council propose to make an Order under the relevant sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and all other enabling powers, which would introduce a 40mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:-

40 mph Speed Limit A264 East Grinstead Road / Watch Oak Hill - from a point 265 metres west of its junction with U7463 Ironchurch Lane, eastwards and then southwards to a point 229 metres west of the East Sussex and County Boundary at Ashurst Bridge.

U7463 Ironchurch Lane – from its junction with A264 East Grinstead Road northwards for a distance of 120 metres.

U7463 Willetts Lane – for its entire adopted length.

U7463 Teasley Mead – for its entire adopted length.

A copy of the draft Order, plans showing the lengths of road and a statement of the Council’s reasons for proposing the Order may be examined in Reception, East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St Anne’s Crescent, Lewes BN7 1UE on Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm; at Library, The Community Centre, Road, Forest Row RH18 5DZ on Monday, Thursday, Friday 2pm – 5pm, Wednesday and Saturday 10am – 1pm; or online at https://consultation.eastsussex.gov.uk/economy-transport-environment/a264- blackham-40mph.

Any person wishing to make an objection or other representation concerning this proposal must do so in writing, together with the grounds on which it is made, to Communities Economy and Transport, Parking, B Floor, East Sussex County Council, County Hall, St. Anne’s Crescent, Lewes, BN7 1UE by 11 June 2018 quoting ref TRO/417.
