La stagione successiva il Barcellona però ha vinto sia a Milano che in casa pareggiando il conto negli scontri diretti. E adesso la sua striscia vincente è arrivata a quota tre contando la partita di andata, 89-75 con 19 punti di Ante Tomic e 27 nell’Olimpia di Rakim Sanders (record carriera). In quell’occasione il Barcellona ebbe 30 assist, record di club in una gara di EuroLeague. FC BARCELLONA: LA STORIA Il Barcellona ha vinto 18 volte il titolo spagnolo, il primo nel 1959, e due volte ha prevalso a livello europeo, la prima nel 2003 e la seconda nel 2010. Ha vinto anche due volte la Coppa Korac e due volte la Saporta Cup. 22 volte ha vinto la Coppa del Re e cinque volte la Supercoppa spagnola. Tra i grandi giocatori della storia blaugrana ci sono Pau Gasol, Juan Antonio San Epifanio, Candido Sibilio, Dejan Bodiroga, Sarunas Jasikevicius, Ricky Rubio, Mario Hezonja e naturalmente Juan Carlos Navarro, il top scorer di ogni epoca in EuroLeague, che ha speso tutta la carriera in blaugrana ad eccezione di un anno trascorso nella NBA a Memphis. BARCELLONA: LA CONNECTION Non ci sono ex in campo anche se nella storia dei club giocatori importanti come Aleksandar Djordjevic e Dejan Bodiroga hanno giocato per ambedue le formazioni. Tuttavia Tyrese Rice ha giocato nel Maccabi assieme a Ricky Hickman nella stagione in cui vinsero l’EuroLeague eliminando l’Olimpia nei quarti di finale. Shane Lawal (infortunato) ha giocato con Rakim Sanders a Sassari e il centro Ante Tomic è stato compagno di squadra di Kruno Simon al KK Zagabria e ovviamente in Nazionale. Lo scorso anno al Khimki, Zoran Dragic giocava con Petteri Koponen e lo stesso Tyrese Rice.
