! CM 201 Screen Language One of four designers of a novel approach to a 200-level course on Visual Language.

! FT 552 Production Design This course complements cinematography by demonstrating how production designers produce the visual material upon which cinematographers depend for their compositions. 2009

! FT 555 The Narrative Documentary Practicum Teaches advanced film and television production students highly specialized filmmaking techniques used for the narrative documentary: character-driven films about real people. The course, developed in 2000, has produced award-winning films since 2004.

! FT 851 Thesis Prep Explores the aesthetic and technical parameters of the short film format with the goal of celebrating the short form as a genre unto itself. Graduate students then develop and write their thesis scripts in preparation for thesis production the following year. 2000

! FT 502 Sound Design and Post Production Provides students with a thorough understanding of the theory and technique of sound design as the emotional driver underscoring all genres of filmmaking. 1992
