He has a wealth of Junior Clinic 4:30-6:00 PM experience coaching all ages and levels $25 per junior of players, including pros and juniors in Tuesday Junior Clinics run 04/24-06/05 and 08/28-10/09 America, Spain, Croatia, India, Vietnam, Adult Intermediate Clinic 5:30-7:00 PM Philippines, and Dubai. Maja is PTR Junior Supervised Match Play 1:00-2:30 PM certified and has coached players of all ages and levels $25 per person since 1999. She loves coaching young and adult-level beginners and ladies’ teams. It happened in the first changeover of the final between Martina Hingis and Mary Pierce when the crowd applauded a fellow player sitting in the VIP box next to Porsche chairman Dr. Wendelin Wiedeking. A few weeks after retiring from tournament tennis, Stefanie Graf came to Filderstadt to watch the tournament. Martina Hingis raised her racket in the direction of her former rival as if to say, “Come down, do you want to play for me?” Stefanie Graf laughed and refused the offer. She had in the meantime established herself as a keen observer of the sport she had so dominated for over a decade. The final was over in no time at all. Martina Hingis seemed to be in a hurry to win her third Porsche at her sixth appearance at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.

At her farewell appearance, Chris Evert, who in the meantime had married skier Andy Mill, was again unable to pull off the coup by beating Martina Navratilova in the final and climbing into the driver’s seat of a Porsche. Like in the year before, the contest was decided by the collector of Porsches. The win this time however came a little more easily. In September the following year, Chris Evert’s career came to an end at the US Open. For nearly 20 years, the American from Florida had graced and shaped the tennis scene: 18 Grand Slam titles, a total of 157 tournament wins, 1304 match wins, almost ten million dollars in prize money all added up to an impressive career. She had also supplied the press with a fair share of gossip including an engagement to fellow tennis player Jimmy Conners, a marriage to the tennis professional John Lloyd and the rivalry with Martina Navratilova which ended in them becoming friends. They all made good stories for the headlines.
