Approx. 09:45hrs arrive at Lorong Halus, an area with approximately 234 hectares of land, as we know, has been a waste dumping ground from 1970 to 1990s till it totally shut down in 1999. Explore how this unique piece of land being transform into a wetland under PUB careful water treatment process letting nature treat the water and also transformation of the waterway from river into reservoir 10:45rs – 11:15hrs walking trail at Punggol Park Connector.

11:15hrs Coney Island ( 1.5 hours walking trail at Coney Island and tour to Punggol Settlement ) The Island formerly known as Pulau , an offshore island in the north eastern part of , was formerly owned the Haw Par Brothers, where Haw Par Beach villa still exists on the island.

The ownership of the island had changed a few times when finally acquired by Singapore government. After land reclamation, the island area had increased to 62 hectares. Coney Island Park which spans 50 hectares features a 2 kilometre long beach, boardwalk and basic amenities, retaining its the rustic feel, with adopting environmentally friendly features include using rainwater for toilet, solar-powered water pump, recycling uprooted trees to make benches and boardwalks The park has different habitats such as mangrove swamps, coastal forests and woodlands with 157 animal species and around 80 species of birds, and also a popular stop for migratory birds like the Asian drongo-cuckoo, and nestboxes have been installed around the island for the migratory birds. Accessing to Coney Island has been made easy with two new bridges on each end of the island – one connected to Punggol and the other to Coast Industrial Park

12:45hrs arrived at Punggol Settlement, in the early days, Punggol Point were mostly Malay Fisherman living near the Jetty, early Chinese immigrants who took up residence at Punggol carried out poultry and pig farming, as well as plantation work with rubber as the main plantation crop. In 1980s and 1990s, the area became popular with existence of seafood restaurants and boatels which provide boat rental, water skiing and skin diving lessons which were re-located in mid 1990s to facilitate land reclamation. The new Punggol Settlement rebooted with a new look with many eateries and restaurants Chinese set lunch will be served at local restaurant.

After lunch, will proceed by coach to visit and view the last surviving Kampong (Malay name known as Kampong Selak Kain ) built in 1956. Surprisingly still exist at Lorong . where houses made of wood with zinc roofs. During the early days, life in the kampong community were quieter and at a much slower paced, chickens can be seen running around freely in the premises Through camaraderie, solidarity and closeness created the so called “Kampong Spirit” and the door to their home were always open even during the night.

15:30hrs Our last stop will visit Apollo Marine Live Seafood Market for an hour for you to buy your preferred live seafood home for dinner. 16:30hrs thereafter, our tour will disband and drop-off at Serangoon MRT station.
