Transportation Transportation To Winnipeg To and from Gimli

Due to Saskatchewan’s proximity to Winnipeg, Team Sask will be chartering buses to transport athletes to and from the Games. There will be a total of five Gimli Participants buses in Phase One and four buses leaving in Phase Two, leaving from both Aer arriving in Winnipeg on July 27th, Gimli parcipants () will be Regina and . sorted at the Main Athletes’ Village. Please ensure all personal luggage and equipment is idenfied with the appropriate tags. Coaches and managers will have the full bus manifest for departure from either Saskatoon or Regina. Food and beverages will be provided for noon lunch. Water and snacks will be available on the bus. We recommend that parcipants also pack snacks and extra beverages as needed. WiFi is available on the buses. One personal luggage and one carry on bag per individual. Equipment will be stored in the belly of the bus. Expected arrival me in Winnipeg is 17:30 (Manitoba me).

Team Sask will return to Saskatchewan via charter bus. However, if athletes Kenora Participants wish to travel back by themselves or with parent or guardian, they can do so by signing (or having said parent or guardian sign) a Team Sask Release Form and Aer arriving in Winnipeg on July 27th, Kenora parcipants () will have providing it to the Chef de Mission for signoff. Parcipants will have access to main Athletes’ Villages food services, athlete Departures from Winnipeg services and entertainment. Immediately following the Opening Ceremony, Saturday, August 5th (Phase One) athletes will be transported by motorcoach to Kenora, ON. The trip is approximately 2.5 hours. Athletes will board equipment and luggage on the buses following the arrival of Phase Two parcipants. Boarding me is to be determined. On turn‐around day (August 5th), athletes will check out of their Kenora accommodaons and be shuled to Winnipeg, where they will board buses Sunday, August 13th (Phase Two) back to either Regina or Saskatoon from the Main Athletes’ Village. Your coaches and managers will have exact departure mes. Immediately following the conclusion of the Closing Ceremony (beginning at 14:00 at Investors Group Field), Team Sask will board the buses and depart for Regina and Saskatoon. Expected arrival me in Regina is 22:30. Expected arrival me in Saskatoon is 01:00 on Monday, August 14th.

At the Main Athletes’ Village, Team Sask will be housed in dorm rooms at the University of Manitoba. Parcipants will be assigned rooms, and keys will be distributed upon arrival. The residence is a secured building 24 hours a day; you will need your Accreditaon tag (ID badge) to gain access to the building and appropriate rooms. Checkpoints will be setup for security.

Parcipants’ rooms will be locked at all mes when they are not in the dorms. Please make sure to close your door when you leave; the doors lock automacally when closed. Have your accreditaon badge and room key with you whenever you leave the room; you will not be permied access without it. Pillows, pillowcases, linens and a towel are provided.
