PRAYERS Mr Hunt: I will tell the hon. Lady what I take responsibility for: more doctors, more nurses and more funding than ever before in the history of the NHS. We [MR SPEAKER in the Chair] know that the highest standards are often achieved when there is strong clinical leadership. Only 54% of managers in this country are clinicians, compared with Oral Answers to Questions 74% in Canada and 94% in Sweden. That is why it is right that we do everything we can to encourage more clinicians into leadership roles. HEALTH Andrew Selous (South West Bedfordshire) (Con): Does the Secretary of State agree that the clinical leadership involved in the Getting It Right First Time initiative is The Secretary of State was asked— important, not only because it will save £1.5 billion, Clinical Leadership which could be put back into patient care, but because patients will be in less pain and will end up having fewer revision operations, and some will even survive treatment 1.

The results were based on data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) and contractor sentiment indicated by a previous ContractorCalculator survey. The full results of this research are now published, with the top 100 MPs, ordered by risk of losing their seat, due to the Off­payroll (IR35) reforms that Treasury, HMRC and the Chancellor are attempting to push through Parliament. In total, 85 MPs hold a majority in Parliament that would feasibly be overturned if the expected turnout of IR35­opposing self­employed voters from their constituency were to vote against them, and we list the next 15, making 100 in total, that are potentially under threat if the self­ employed voter turnout is higher than expected. "This single piece of damaging policy could prove catastrophic for all parties involved, not least the Tories, who make up 43% of the at­risk seats,” comments ContractorCalculator CEO, Dave Chaplin. “There is also potentially a lot to gain for some, but those in precarious positions will have to act swiftly and earnestly to win over contractors’ trust.” How we identified the at­risk MPs The research leveraged the data and compared the MPs majority at the last election with the likely number of self­employed voters in their area who would turn out and vote against them.

With maturity came the desire for dependable records of its history, and I was disappointed at finding only incomplete accounts, here and there in published works, which were at the same time often contradictory. My succession to the Chiefship, besides bringing greetings from clansmen in many lands, also brought forth their expressions of the opinion that a complete history would be most desirable, coupled with the sug­ gestion that, as I had considerable data on hand, I com­ pile it. I felt some diffidence in undertaking to write about my own family, but, believing that under these conditions it would serve a worthy purpose, I commenced this work which was interrupted by the chaos of the Great War and by my own military service. In all cases where the original sources of information exist I have consulted them, so that I believe the book is quite accurate.
