Regional Weather Inference And Forecast Tuesday, 18 July 2017 Morning Issue Time : 11.30 Hrs. IST Meteorological Analysis (Based on 0830 Hrs IST Observations) Weather Watch :- Heavy to very heavy with extremely heavy rainfall occured at isolated places over Chhattisgarh. Heavy to very heavy rainfall occured at many places over Chhattisgarh, at isolated places over Vidarbha. Heavy rainfall occured at isolated places over East madhya Pradesh.Thunderstorm observed at many places over Chhattisgarh and at few places over Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha. Very light to moderate rainfall occurred at most places Vidabha, East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh and at few places over West Madhya Pradesh.

Monsoon Watch :- Monsoon has covered entire country on 18-07-2017. Monsoon been active over Vidarbha, East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

Inference:- The depression over northwest & adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal and coastal areas of Odisha centred near Lat.19.0° N and Long.86.0°E, about 120 km east¬southeast of Gopalpur and 80 km south¬southeast of Puri persists. It is very likely to move west¬northwestward and cross Odisha coast between Gopalpur and Puri by tonight. The trough at mean sea level from northwest Rajasthan to eastcentral Bay of Bengal now runs from southwest Rajasthan to eastcentral Bay of Bengal across Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and centre of depression and extends upto 3.1 km above mean sea level. The off¬shore trough at mean sea level now runs from south Gujarat coast to north Kerala coast. The upper air cyclonic circulation over Kutch & adjoining southwest Rajasthan now lies over Kutch & neighbourhood at 1.5 km above mean sea level. The east¬west shear zone now runs roughly along Latitude 18.0°N between 4.5 & 7.6 Km above mean sea level.The western disturbance as a trough in mid¬tropospheric westerlies with its axis at 5.8 km above mean sea level now runs roughly along Longitude 71.0° E and north of Latitude 30.0°
