Beginning operations in 2004, Teletalk Bangladesh Limited, operating as 'Teletalk' is the only state- owned 2G GSM and 3G based mobile phone operator in Bangladesh. Teletalk has established its network foothold in 64 Districts, 402 Upazilas, and most of the country's highways, however remains the smallest of the four mobile carriers operating in Bangladesh.
Like other Bangladeshi mobile carriers the company operates 2G GSM services over 900 and 1800 MHz bands, and activated 3G HSPA+ on B1 (2100 MHz) in October 2012. The company is currently working with Huawei in rolling out its 4G LTE network.
