Welcome to another edition of the Bob Cats Newsletter. It's night time in the big city. A streetcar named Towery Hill Upon South Bank is burning down the tracks, the pantograph’s alive with sparks and bolt and the smell of cordite spreads along Main Street, Casey Jones engineer by the wheel lost all control possessed by the 7th Symphony by Allan Pettersson in his earphones going south. Renaldo jumps off at the corner, falls to the ground, roils around and get on his feet looking back at Clara on the back platform, wind in her hazel hair, screaming his name in despair, the streetcar turns the corner and disappears out of sight. Her high-pitched lonely scream resonates in between the tall buildings as Renaldo brushes the dust off his hickory corduroy suit and walks into the Black Swan asking for two pints of Guinness and a drop of the hard stuff. The order is promptly carried out by Sharon de Lei, bartender for a day all tied up in black satin topped by a nurse’s cap. An almost spiritual ambience settles in. Jim Reeves is on the jukebox singing Distant Drums. The cracked actor by the bar nursing a glass of Pinot and they all turn around as the streetcar running backwards returns a top speed and comes to a violent stop outside the Saint James Hotel. Casey falls out and stumbles in the Milagro Alley looking for a friend. Clara is approaching in the distance, wind in her hair on bicycle made for two. Renaldo orders another pint.
