The Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry offers a program for degree completion for Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science general certificate holders. Because of the changing nature of the field, there is a practise requirement that must be met (see Admission). The program requires Œ75 additional study post-diploma and Œ60 must be completed through the University of Alberta.
