BACKGROUND Will you tell us about your background and how you got into the gaming business? I moved to Las Vegas in 1983, where I lived in room number 1027 at the Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino with my family. My dad was working for Steve Wynn at the time, so I was very much exposed to the casino industry at a very young age. I was six years old, living in a casino, which was a pretty good way to get exposed to the casino world and find things like slot machines and casino buffets to be very normal. The Meadows School bus would pick me up under the hotel porte cochère, so it was a very unique life, even for a kid growing up in Las Vegas. I had my first job in 1990 at the Golden Nugget Laughlin. I was about thirteen years old, and obviously worked in a non-gaming capacity. I was exposed to the casino-resort organization at a very young age.
