Additional comments:

I am e-mailing you as I have heard that The Bee radio station has asked Ofcom to change their licence and to take out the asian program called 'Bombay Lounge'.

I would strongly like to oppose this change because of the fact that Ofcom granted the broadcasting licence to The Bee on the provision that they had an asian radio program.

To change The Bee's current licence would mean that there would be no asian radio show in . Lancashire as whole has a huge asian population and to mention a few Preston, Darwin, , Rossendale, Blackburn itself and Bolton.

Not just asian listeners listen to The Bee but some non asian listeners listen to 'Bombay Lounge'. As Lancashire as a whole has a huge asian population, you must realise that there are a lot of taxi and cab drivers working till late and some until the early hours of the morning and most of them being asian taxi and cab drivers.

The radio program 'Bombay Lounge' is a quality radio show that gives the asian people an insight into what is happening in the world of the Indian film industry, Indian music and up and coming new asian artists here in the UK and the sub-continent.

I have been listening to the presenter of 'Bombay Lounge' Maya Vaja ever since she was on the BBC airwaves and there is no other asian radio program in Lancashire that has the quality of 'Bombay Lounge'. Asian/Indian music and films has been extremely popular in the recent years with a different variety of films and music.

The Bollywood film industry as it is known in Bombay is the biggest film industry in the world, churning out 1,000's of films a year and this is what 'Bombay Lounge' on The Bee is all about, it's about quality, new music and new bollywood films.

The presenter Maya Vaja has interviewed some of the biggest stars in the Bollywood film industry, there is no other asian radio show locally that can do this and has the extensive knowledge that Maya Vaja has.

I am asking Ofcom not to change The Bee's licence based on the above facts and that Lancashire as a whole is a very large asian populated area that incorporates several towns and a city.
