1. Introduction

Here are the first results of the new season! Some of you will be happy, some perhaps not as happy.

I'd like to remind players, new and old, to make sure you have 11 players (rather than 10 or 12) and that the 3:1 rule applies both before and after added points (home+rough). Also make sure that the skill levels you use for players are what they actually have. Of course, the program looks after all these things for you if you use it.

The deadline for issue 3 is Friday July 5, at 21:30 CET.

Next issue, you send orders for: * match days 3 and 4 in the league (see section 12)

This round, the home advantage is still 6 VP. The home team is listed first in the league schedule.

In addition, as always, you send coaching. Optionally, you can also discover talents (up to 3 per season) and buy/sell players.

By the time you read this, I have already sent out your teams. If you haven't received them, let me know.

In a very impressive game, Currents of Space had a clear upper hand, though winning by two would've been more fair than by four.

Feyenoord - St. Helens 1 : 1 Scorers: Henk Wery (14.) ***iamtootired (20.) Booked: --- ***Justatry Another impressive home side upper hand, but St. Helens hung on to one point.

Fantasy Finale - Desassossego Blues 0 : 0 Booked: --- ***Raphael Baldaya A slow and rather even game, though the home side had a slight play advantage.

Chicken Run - Extreme 3 : 1 Scorers: John Heitinga (71.), Shae (13.), Ygritte (62.) ***Muhren (29.) Booked: Shae ***--- The first time Chicken Run took the lead, Extreme managed to equalise, but when the home side got ahead again in the second half, the visitors didn't manage to respond.

Formula 1 Legends - Serial Killers 1 : 2 Scorers: Stefan Vettel (1.) ***Jimmy Maketta (14.), Bobbie Joe Long (25.) A slight upper hand for Serial Killers here, and despite the home side claiming the lead already in the first minute, the visitors managed to come back and win it.

Ubermenschen - Lake Tanganyika 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Lombardoi (22.) Lake Tanganyika join the Premiership for the first time, and start out with an impressive away win. Rosedale Premiership Match day 2 ======

FC Asskickers - Ubermenschen 1 : 1 Scorers: Booker T. (62.) ***Borchert (34.) Ubermenschen took the lead in the first half by a goal from Borchert, but it was FC Asskickers who were the stronger team here, and their fans will be somewhat disappointed to only take one point away from this one.

Lake Tanganyika - Formula 1 Legends 4 : 2 Scorers: T Moori (53.), Neolamprologus (72.), Pterophillum (86.), M Auratus (50.) ***Timo Glock (12.), Telephone Sanitizer (84.) After winning away, Lake Tanganyika gave their fans big hopes for the first weekend, and they did not disappoint. A solid home win.

Serial Killers - Chicken Run 0 : 0 Serial Killers were the stronger team here, but couldn't score and will have to make do with a draw.

Extreme - Fantasy Finale 2 : 2 Scorers: van Basten (71.) ***Kvothe (25., 71.) Penalties: 1 ***- Fantasy Finale managed a slight upper hand in play here, but Extreme saved a point by converting their penalty kick.

Desassossego Blues - Feyenoord 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Jan van Deinsen (81.) Booked: Thomas Crosse ***Henk Wery, Jan van Deinsen Very little happened in this game, but when everyone thought it was about to end in a goalless draw, Jan van Deinsen appeared and made it an away win for Feyenoord.

St. Helens - Currents of Space 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Comporellon (87.) A very strong start to the season from Currents of Space, winning both and getting no goals against.

The Championship Match day 1 ======

Kremlin - WrapUp 1 : 0 Scorers: Assassination Attempt (30.) ***--- A solid win for Kremlin.

Madmartigan City - Cosmopolitan 2 : 2 Scorers: Soprano (22., 79.) ***Pastry (53.), Man-O-War (74.) An almost exactly even game with the fair result in the end.

Dummys - Dirigentia con Brio 0 : 0 Another rather even game, this one ending goallessly.

Twin Peaks Owls - Love Songs 6 : 2 Scorers: Philip Jeffries (12., 51., 82.), The Giant (64., 80.), Sheriff Cable (19.) ***Hallelujah (66.), Killing me softly (29.) Booked: --- ***One Twin Peaks Owls join Kremlin at the top as the two only clubs to have won during the four first Championship games.

Botanica - Oaks 1 : 1 Scorers: Dahlia (39.) ***Kazzia (48.) Botanica had a clear upper hand in this game, but Oaks saved a lucky point.

Parsifal - Erkrath Gladiators 3 : 1 Scorers: A. Attema (4.), L Andreose (32.), K Wiemers (44.) ***Niels (75.) Parsifal were up by three already at halftime, and although Erkrath Gladiators had some play, they only managed to come back to 1-3.

The Championship Match day 2 ======

WrapUp - Parsifal 1 : 1 Scorers: Leave me alone (46.) ***Maris Janssons (40.) A slight upper hand to the home side, but Parsifal saved a point. Erkrath Gladiators - Botanica 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Populus nigra (24.) The teams were fairly evenly matched, but Populus nigra scored the only goal of the match, thus securing the win.

Oaks - Twin Peaks Owls 3 : 0 Scorers: Godiva (24.), Kazzia (68.), Bireme (41.) ***--- Oaks had a slight upper hand here, and efficiently converted that to a three goal win.

Love Songs - Dummys 3 : 3 Scorers: Woman in Chains (4.), Hallelujah (49.), Cry Softly (23.) ***Hiele (9., 31., 50.) Love Songs were stronger here, but Hiele fought back ferociously and almost single-handedly saved Dummys a point.

Dirigentia con Brio - Madmartigan City 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Madman (50.) Dirigentia con Brio were slightly stronger in this match, but it was Madmartigan who managed to get the lone goal and both points.

Cosmopolitan - Kremlin 2 : 0 Scorers: Bride (37.), Wax (74.) ***--- Cosmopolitan claim a solid win with a goal in each half.

Division 1 Match day 1 ======

Slartibartfast FC - Night Owls 11 : 1 Scorers: Hotblack Desiato (8 goal$s), Varntvar the Priest (15., 52.), Garkbit (37.) ***Eagle Owl (60.) Division 1 kicks off with an incredible flurry of goals, though it has to be said, the statistic expectation was nowhere near the actual result.

Lunar Sea - Saturday Morning FC 4 : 2 Scorers: Leda (60.), Bianca (68.), Dione (18.), Sycorax (75.) ***Thomas the Tank Engine (22., 25.) Booked: --- ***Hello Kitty Lunar Sea took an early lead, but Thomas the Tank Engine turned 1-0 to 1-2 within 3 minutes. However, it was the home side that came out on top in the end, with three goals in the second half.

ENPS - The Scientists 2 : 3 Scorers: Kees Bakker (19.) ***Sanger (81.), Boyle (14.), Watt (39.) Penalties: 1 ***- This was an even game, and it turned out it was The Scientists who were best in front of goal today.

New Generation - Song of Ice and Fire 1 : 0 Penalties: 1 ***- Booked: Shirt Tail ***Davos Seaworth The visitors fought their way to an upper hand, but the home side won anyway due to stylishly converting their penalty.

Jirs Nightmare County - Tamriel Athletic 1 : 3 Scorers: Daloron (4.) ***Torolf (69.), Wrath Farseer (50.), Nash gro-Shug (82.) Booked: Daloron, Ehloron ***--- A slight upper hand on part of the away team let them turn 1-0 around to 1-3 here.

Frock Frogs - Fjortoft's Friends 4 : 1 Scorers: Henriette (74., 81.), Tinkerbell (27., 43.) ***Seppl (56.) An easy one for Frock Frogs.

Division 1 Match day 2 ======

Night Owls - Frock Frogs 1 : 1 Scorers: Horned Owl (43.) ***Henriette (11.) Frock Frogs were again the stronger team, but Horned Owl managed to equalise and save one point for the Night Owls.

Fjortoft's Friends - Jirs Nightmare County 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Ebloron (80.) A slow game, but Ebloron managed to get the ball in the net ten minutes before the end. Tamriel Athletic - New Generation 1 : 1 Scorers: Torolf (32.) ***Yoke (77.) Tamriel Athletic had most of the play here, but Yoke equalised and secured a draw for the visitors.

Song of Ice and Fire - ENPS 4 : 4 Scorers: Barristan Selmy (87.), Jon Snow (66.) ***Peter Hoekstra (11., 50., 81.), Kees Bakker (59.) Penalties: 2 ***- Booked: --- ***Bert Wijchgel, Duck Wals, Peter Hoekstra Peter Hoekstra were on fire this time, but Song of Ice and Fire got a draw by scoring on two penalties.

The Scientists - Lunar Sea 2 : 2 Scorers: Boyle (31.), Watson (28.) ***Dione (65.), Sycorax (26.) A slight upper hand to the home team here, but Lunar Sea got away with one point.

Saturday Morning FC - Slartibartfast FC 0 : 0 Booked: Kwazii ***Telephone Sanitizer Despite a clear dominance on part of the 2Ds, they somehow couldn't score and only got a draw here.

Yamagata Old Boys - Jirs Park Rangers 5 : 2 Scorers: Joe King (23.), Tom Katt (67.), Doug Deep (22.), Abel C. Mann (32.), Ric O'Shea (55.) ***Yploron (70.), Yqloron (15.) A solid win for Yamagata Old Boys. the Professors of Jazz - Magical World 3 : 0 Scorers: Herbie Hancock (14., 71.), Clifford Brown (75.) ***--- The home team was best here, and won without much trouble.

Thinkers FC - Insomniacz S-Pulse 1 : 1 Scorers: Socrates (83.) ***Jordan Lockyer (81.) Not much happened in this game, but both clubs managed to get in a goal shortly before the end.

Car Park Rangers - Sjokoladen BK 0 : 1 Scorers: --- ***Baby Ruth (55.) Booked: Iceman ***--- Baby Ruth secures the win for Nam Nam.

Queen - Ergodic Theorems 2 : 1 Scorers: Wwry (89.), Dear friends (55.) ***Birkhoff (71.) Queen were the stronger team in this match. The visitors seemed to steal a point, but in the 89th minute, Wwry secured the home win.

Valiant City - Car Park Rangers 0 : 2 Scorers: --- ***Thunder (12., 84.) Booked: Pia Pinner ***--- Valiant City had a slight upper hand in play, but after a goal in each half from Thunder, Car Park Rangers claim both points. Castaway - Gamblers United 4 : 2 Scorers: Umboi (27., 46.), Pantar (88.), Samosir (6.) ***Dahlia Darer (50., 90.) A solid win from Castaway.

Duckburg City - Yorkies 0 : 0 An even game with a point for each club.
