Publicado por: José Luis López HAVANA, Cuba, Aug 27 (acn) With his powerful and effective swing, Cuban Yurisbel Gracial appears today as the most effective hitter of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, franchise of the Pacific League in the Japanese Professional Baseball League (NPB). Last night, Gracial, who was recently promoted from the Hawks' farm system to the first team and has so far played 21 games, was essential in the 12-8 win of his squad over the Saitama Seibu Lions, leader of the Pacific League (PL), when batting 3 for 6, including a home run, four RBIs and three runs scored. The Cuban utility is being used as infielder and his stats have been decisive in the latest wins of his team. Two days ago, he hit 2 for 4 with in the 3-2 victory also over the Lions, and last Wednesday he blasted two homers and batted in five runs in the 9-6 win over the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. In this moment, Gracial has batting average of .362 (25 hits in 69 at bats), with two doubles, four homers and 13 RBIs. The Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks, franchise in which also play Cubans Alfredo Despaigne (OF/DH), Livan Moinelo (LHP) and switch-hitter Oscar Colas, the latter is in the farm system, appear second in the standings of the PL with 59 wins and 49 losses, only behind the Lions (65-45) and ahead the Fighters (59-51), in that order. Then, they were wrapped with a dried piece of seaweed (nori). But now, various kinds of ingredients such as tuna with mayonnaise and broiled beef are put in onigiri. Rice goes well with almost all food because the rice itself has no special taste. Yakionigiri is also a popular onigiri. The surface of a rice ball is covered with soy sauce and toasted until it is golden brown. Hot, freshly toasted onigiri smell great and are a popular thing to eat after drinking. Publicado por: Juventud Rebelde HAVANA, Cuba, Sep 30 (acn) Cuban pitcher Livan Moinelo had a perfect performance for the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks and became the fourth Latin reliever with 60 appearances in the Japanese Professional Baseball (NPB) regular season. The lefty reliever pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, with three strikeouts, in the 1-5 loss of his side to the Buffaloes Orix in the final match of the regular season. Moinelo closed his performance in the preliminary stage with terrific ERA of 1.52, and finished third among the best setuppers of the Pacific League with balance of 3 wins, 1 loss and 4 saves; while his compatriots and teammates DH Alfredo Despaigne and LF Yurisbel Gracial did not batted hits, thus decreasing their batting averages to .259 and .319, respectively. The Hawks, current NPB champions, finished second in the Pacific League (PL), two games behind the Saitama Seibu Lions and 5 matches ahead of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles.
