OUR OPINION Guardian angel t may sound simple enough. You come upon the scene of a wreck, dial I911 and wait for first responders to arrive. Cell phones make life — and lifesaving — so much easier. But when you’re by yourself at 5:20 in the morning and your gut is telling you to watch out — that’s when things get tricky. That’s what happened to Sara Gray Tuesday morning as she was delivering yesterday’s edi- tion of the Lake City Reporter. She saw what looked like an abandoned pickup just off Wendy Terrace and almost kept driving. No telling what might be going on with that, and surely no need to investigate. Then she saw serious front end damage and realized it must have been a wreck. So she took a closer look. Sarcasm in the age of LOL We thank God she did. PREP FOOTBALL NFL Tunsil TIGERS ON TOP anchors revamped Dolphins’ O-line Former CHS star being counted on to lead a young unit in 2019.

By STEVEN WINE Associated Press

DAVIE — Miami Dolphins left tackle Laremy Tunsil has spo- ken several times this summer of the desire to become a more vocal leader. Standing in the middle of the locker room after a recent prac- tice, he assessed his efforts. “Pretty good!!” Tunsil shout- ed, startling the entire room. He then turned to his fellow offen- sive linemen and to the socks, shoes and athletic tape strewn at their feet. “Hey guys, clean this up now!” he said. The only response was laughter. “It doesn’t work,” Tunsil said, with a shrug. “We’re still getting there.” Photos by BRENT KUYKENDALL/Lake City Reporter Even the Dolphins’ best offen- Columbia defensive back Shyheim Brown tackles Trinity Christian’s Fred Davis last Friday night.
