MRSM Ulul Albab education programme is designed to produce professional experts, entrepreneurs and technocrats that are well versed in the field of religion-based Al-Quran and Sunnah as Ulul Albab generation. This study aims to explore stakeholders' expectations on the Ulul Albab programme in MRSM Kota Putra, Besut Terengganu towards students' sahsiah. The methodology used was qualitative in nature in the form of semi-structured interviews conducted with the four MARA stakeholders. Validity and reliability of data were done through several techniques employed such as member checking, rich thick description, clarification of researcher biases, peer review and debriefing, and external audit.

    Government Transformation Programme JABATAN PERDANA MENTERI Annual Report 2010 2010 marked the introduction and implementation of Malaysia’s Government Transformation Programme (GTP) and a new chapter in our young nation’s history. This bold and unprecedented programme aimed to radically transform the way the Government worked so we could better serve the rakyat, regardless of race, religion or social status. In embracing change, we learnt how to listen more effectively, speak more openly, see things for what they really are, develop a positive course of action and deliver tangible solutions. These efforts have laid strong foundations for the future progress of our nation and given the rakyat the assurance of a better future. This inaugural annual report of the GTP serves as a narrative of all that transpired in 2010. He said from August, the Sabak Bernam Giat Mara in Selangor which occupied 10 units of Sabak Bernam District Council's stalls would have to pay a monthly rental of RM1,500. A skill training centre in Lahat near here would also have to pay rental soon. There were no rentals prior to this, he said. "We will pay the rent for the benefit of the trainees," he said, adding that the two state governments were thinking only in terms of profits without regards for the need to serve the people.

Badan Berkanun Persekutuan ditubuhkan bertujuan untuk melaksanakan dasar Kerajaan melalui program dan aktiviti yang ditetapkan secara profesional dan berkesan. Mengikut tafsiran Akta Badan Berkanun (Akaun dan Laporan Tahunan) 1980 (Akta 240), Badan Berkanun Persekutuan adalah sebuah pertubuhan yang diperbadankan mengikut undang-undang Persekutuan. Badan Berkanun Persekutuan merupakan badan atau agensi Kerajaan Malaysia yang diperbadankan oleh undang-undang penubuhan bagi maksud Kerajaan Persekutuan tetapi tidak termasuk pihak berkuasa tempatan atau perbadanan yang diperbadankan di bawah Akta Syarikat 1965. 2. Setiap Badan Berkanun Persekutuan yang ditubuhkan adalah tertakluk kepada akta tubuh atau akta subsidiari yang memperbadankannya di bawah akta induk dan berfungsi mengikut tujuan penubuhannya. Ia mempunyai kuasa autonomi seperti yang ditetapkan oleh akta tubuhnya. Namun, Lembaga Pengarah perlu diwujudkan untuk melaksanakan fungsi, pentadbiran, pengurusan dan aktivitinya.

    The Developing Economies, XXXV-3 (September 1997): 209–39 THE NEW ECONOMIC POLICY AND THE UNITED MALAYS NATIONAL ORGANIZATION —With Special Reference to the Restructuring of Malaysian Society— TAKASHI TORII INTRODUCTION N 1990, Malaysia duly completed its twenty-year New Economic Policy (NEP) which was launched in 1971. Though the NEP has been described as I an “economic” policy, its contents and implementation processes show that it went far beyond the scope of economic policy packages. In fact, policies in such noneconomic areas as education, language, culture, and religion have been formu- lated and implemented in close relationships with it. Consequently, the NEP has exerted major influences not only on Malaysia’s economy but on Malaysian society as a whole. From the point of view of the NEP’s stated objective, namely, “ to lift up the economic and social status of Malays,” the NEP has achieved signal successes, such as the creation of a Malay middle class and Malay entrepreneurs, most notably the new Malay business groups.1 A number of both positive and negative evaluations have been made about the NEP, which has had such a major impact on Malaysian society.2 These studies generally identify two basic characteristics of the NEP. –––––––––––––––––––––––––– This paper is part of the fruits of the research and investigation I conducted in Malaysia in 1991–93 as a visiting research fellow at the National University of Malaysia (Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia— UKM).
