CONSERVATION Program Description Students interested in a career in Conservation have two options from which to choose. Muscatine Community College’s Conservation Program provides a solid foundation with classes in such areas as Environmental Science, Fisheries and Wildlife Habitat Management. Students receive hands-on training with both Wilderness and Employment Experiences during the summer. The Natural Resource Management program is a partnership between Eastern Community College (EICC) and Western University – (WIU-QC). Students take classes both at the WIU-QC campus and EICC’s Nahant Marsh Education Center, a 262 acre nature preserve on the .

Award Options Associate in Conservation Technology MUSCATINE COMMUNITY Job Outlook COLLEGE Employment of conservation scientists and foresters is expected to grow by 5 percent during the 2010-20 decade, slower than average for all occupations. A majority of conservation scientists Department Coordinator and foresters are employed by Federal, State, and local governments, and a large percentage of new jobs will be found in these areas. Median annual wages of conservation scientists in May Brian Ritter 2014 were $59,310. The lowest 10 percent earned less than $36,050, and the top 10 percent (563) 336-3372 earned more than $89,440.
