Directions

From Pennsylvania Turnpike & Route 76 — Take Exit 20 (476 South) and travel 7.5 miles to St. Davids/Villanova Exit 13 to Route 30. Turn left at traffic light onto Route 30. Turn left at Eagle Road light (Spread Eagle Village, Mobil gas station to the north). Follow to second traffic light (Radnor Street Road). Turn left and travel past Valley Forge Military Academy. Club entrance is .25 mile on right.

From Lancaster Avenue (Route 30) — Traveling east, turn left at Eagle Road light (Spread Eagle Village, Mobil gas station to the north). Follow to second traffic light (Radnor Street Road). Turn left and travel past Valley Forge Military Academy. Club entrance is .25 mile on right.

From Route 476 — Exit at St. Davids/Villanova Exit 13 and travel west on Route 30 for 1.5 miles to the center of Wayne. Turn right onto N. Wayne Avenue and travel half a mile to third traffic light (Eagle Road). Turn right onto Eagle Road. Travel to next light (Radnor Street Road) and turn left. Travel past Valley Forge Military Academy. Club entrance is .25 mile on right.

2015 Conditions of Play

Entries Open to Member Club golfers who are 25 years of age and over with a USGA Handicap Index of 7.0 or lower.

Field The field of 144 players includes the exempt players entered and those who qualified at Middle- Amateur Championship qualifying events held at Five Ponds Golf Club on April 18, Galloway National Golf Club on April 30 and Meadowlands Country Club on May 4.

Format 36-hole individual gross stroke play, two day event. With a cut after the first day to the low 70 and ties. Four-hole aggregate playoff for Championship. Second place ties will receive duplicate prizes, prize money to be split. All other ties to be split evenly.

Tee times The event officially begins at 7:30 a.m. when groups tee off on Nos. 1 & 10 at St. Davids. There will be a morning and afternoon wave. To view pairings and tee times for Day One, click here.

Rules of Play Local rules sheets will be distributed to each participant on the day of the tournament. Automotive transportation is permitted in this event. St. Davids allows the use of pull carts.

The Golf Association of Philadelphia’s Middle-Amateur started in 1984, three Past Champions (name, club, score, venue) years after the USGA created the U.S. 1984: Gene Maginnis, Jr., Whitemarsh Valley CC — 72, Whitemarsh Valley Mid-Am as a formal championship for 1985: Gary Daniels, Chester Valley GC — 70, Torresdale-Frankford post-college amateurs. The Association 1986: David Brookreson, Huntingdon Valley CC — 70, Indian Valley followed suit with the USGA in creating a 1987: Robert Levy, Philmont CC — 70, Old York Road Mid.-Am., but initially differed in its 1988: David Brookreson, Huntingdon Valley CC — 71, Sunnybrook administration of the tournament in a 1989: Thomas F.
