Greetings, OMS!
We have several events and reminders for you in this month's newsletter, including spirit events and PTSO election information. Note: Our monthly meetings are now open to parents & guardians. Please join us when you're available! Please read on and reference the "COMING UP" section for important dates.
Thanks to everyone who attended our Hockey Spirit Night with the Charlotte Checkers on March 10! It was a lot of fun! Special shout outs to our wonderful teachers, Mrs. Cauble and Madame Thompson, for attending!
Our next Spirit Night is at Arby's on Monday, April 9 (4p-8p)! We also have a Baseball Night with the Charlotte Knights scheduled for Saturday, May 12 at 7p! (See the promotion box below for ticket information.)
Appreciation events for our teachers and staff will take place the first week of May! Be on the lookout for SignUpGenius links as to how you can help!
Many thanks to everyone who sent in their Box Tops in the Collection in February! Thanks to your submissions, we raised $227.90! This collection's Box Tops Super Stars were: Student Contest Winners: Ashley Brashears, Kennedy Cole, McClain Ford, Harley Lail & Seth Milbry Teacher & Staff Contest Winners: Mrs. Cauble, Ms. Fielder & Dawn Walker Keep Clipping Box Tops for the End of the Year Collection (May 1-15)! Continued thanks to everyone who buys Domino's on our monthly Spirit Day! (This month, Domino's Day is on April 17!)
2018 Pride Card Sale Recap: Many thanks to everyone who bought & sold OMS Pride Cards! Thus far, we have sold nearly 1,200 cards! Prizes are in the process of being distributed, and for those students who chose the gaming truck, it will be at OMS on Friday, April 20!
2018-2019 PTSO Elections: It's that time of the school year when we send out the PTSO Executive Board Nomination Form. Be on the lookout for the Nomination Form in your email from OMS. You can also download the form from the PTSO webpage on the OMS website. If you are interested in serving on the Executive Board for the 2018-2019 school year, please complete and return the Nomination Form by Thursday, April 19. The formal election by ballot will take place in the OMS Office on April 25, 26 & 27. Contact us with questions at [email protected].
