1.Minnamurra Rainforest: 33km.,40min. Tourist Drive 9; West of Kiama & Jamberoo The Minnamurra Rainforest Centre, in the NE of the Budderoo National Park, gives you the chance to experience a remnant rainforest.
The Centres’ attractions include a network of raised timber boardwalks and paved walking tracks that take you along the forest floor and up through a range of environments, on your way to the magical Minnamurra Falls. Return via village of Kiama and take time to visit the Blowhole where spectacular plumes of water can be witnessed when seas are running from the SE.
2. Sea Cliff Bridge, Symbio Wildlife Park: views (Symbio approx. 35 km.,40 min.) View some of the most beautiful beaches in Australia along Wollongong’s coastline before travelling North and passing over the 665 metre Sea Cliff Bridge. Stop at viewing areas before and after crossing Bridge. Continue to Bald Hill lookout. If the weather is favourable hang-gliders will be active.
From there continue to Symbio Wildlife Park (Lawrence Hargrave Dr. Helensburgh )which features crocs.,koalas, kangaroos, dingoes, birds of prey, snakes, reptiles and emus. Return via Southern Gateway Centre (Princes Hwy.) where the view of Wollongong is breathtaking.
3. Illawarra Fly Treetop Walk: 55km.,60min. 182 Knights Hill Rd. Knights Hill The Illawarra Fly treetop walk is an elevated steel canopy walk through the rainforest on the picturesque Illawarra escarpment, offering inspiring views over the South Pacific Ocean.
After experiencing the Fly, head down the mountain via Macquarie Pass to the seaside village of Shellharbour and experience the boutiques and eateries.
4.Nan Tien Temple: 9km.,12min. (Berkeley) Largest Buddist temple in Southern Hemisphere. The Temple focuses on exchange of eastern and western cultures ; traditional and modern. Attracts >100 000 persons from around the world. There are a variety of guided tours of 1-3 hrs., between 9am.-5pm. Cultural activities include Origami, Tai Chi, Calligraphy and Meditation.

Wollongong Golf Club is adjacent to Chifley Hotel.
Shellharbour (29km.) has The Links, Shell Cove and Calderwood Valley Golf Courses.
6. Karts: (Wollongong City Raceway, Kembla Grange, 13km. ) Experience the thrill of a brilliant circuit, timed laps etc.

9. Beach stroll From Chifley Hotel head East to City Beach, North to Flagstaff Hill, Wollongong Harbour and Wollongong North Beach. Return via shops and coffee.
10. Antiques Visit Bowral and Mittagong appprox. 70 kms to Bowral
11. Steelworks Tour: Port Kembla 5km. Guided tour (Friday) conducted by Australia’s Industry World. A must see but bookings are essential 4275 7023
12. Fleet Air Arm Museum: (South Nowra) Top quality museum displays historical naval aircraft and aviation memorabilia. Lovely drive with a visit to Berry.
