Fall Is the Perfect Time to Play Golf SEPTEMBER 2018 FALL GOLF IN AND AROUND THE NW No shortage of places in the NW to play quality fall golf The Pacific Northwest is loaded with courses where fall golf is as good as its gets - from places like Leavenworth Golf Course (right) and Columbia Point in the Tri- Cities (far right). See inside for more. Palouse in the fall: Play some golf and watch the Cougars There might not be a better combination when August turns into September than fall golf and football. At places like Pullman, Wash. you can play the award-winning Palouse Ridge Golf Club (right) and then take in a game at Martin Stadium featuring the Washington State Cougars (left). There is plenty to like about fall in the Pacific Northwest - when you combine golf trips with some football games, you have it all. Fall is the perfect time to play golf Maybe the best time of year to play golf in the Northwest is in fall, the weather is cooperative, the days are still long, the course conditions are at their best having all summer to groom them and the pace of play is better. Places like Glendoveer Golf & Tennis in Portland (right), Juniper Golf Club in Redmond, Ore. (lower left) and Ka’anapali Resort on the island of Maui (lower right), are great options in the fall. Fall is the last change to get in some quality golf before the weather changes. This month Inside Golf takes a look at some of the Pacific Northwest locales - and beyond - that are some good choice for fall golf. Please see inside for more. • Page 2 • • FALL GOLF: CENTRAL OREGON • • Inside Golf - September Issue 2018 • INSIDE Central Oregon in the fall: There might THIS EDITION not be a better time to take a golf trip For fall golf, there might not be a better place then Central Oregon. The rules of FootGolf largely correspond to the rules of golf. FootGolf uses golf’s basic model including tee boxes, greens, bunkers, hazards, and 9-holes or 18-holes of play. The sport is played with a soccer ball on a traditional golf course with 21-inch diameter cups, set to the side of the traditional greens, instead of the traditional 4.25-inch diameter cups. In support of the launch, Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club will host a complimentary FootGolf Clinic from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Friday, October 17th, 2014.
