2 CONFESSION AND FORGIVENESS

Leader: Blessed be the holy Trinity, + one God, who forgives all our sin, whose mercy endures forever. People: Amen.

Leader: Seeking reconciliation with God and neighbor, let us remember the gift of baptism and confess our sin. Silence is kept for reflection. God of mercy, People: we confess that we have sinned against you, against one another, and against the earth entrusted to our care. We are worried and distracted by many things, and we fail to love you above all else. We store up treasures for ourselves and turn away from our neighbors in need. Forgive us, that we may live in the freedom of your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Leader: When we were laid low by sin and guilt, God made us alive together with Christ, forgiving us + all our trespasses by taking our sins to the cross. For freedom Christ has set us free: Rejoice in this good news! People: Amen.

3 CALL TO WORSHIP

Leader: The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with you all. People: And also with you.

Reverse Advent Calendar! Sue Bormolini found this idea several months ago and thought we could use it for the Food Pantry. It's a "Reverse Advent Calendar." Rather than open a door on the Advent Calendar to get candy, open a door and set aside one food item or one grooming item each day during Advent. The collection could be placed in a box, a paper bag or a collection place.

After we see all the food that is gathered and distributed during Thanksgiving and Christ- mas, we may forget that hunger continues into January and beyond. Therefore, this collction will be taken to the Food Pantry in January.

So, bring your collection of any size to the church in January and it will be taken to the Food Pantry. Some suggested items are: bar of soap tube of toothpaste chapstick bottle of lotion bottle of shampoo can of soup or chili box of crackers can of spam can or corn box of pasta many, many more ideas

Advent starts on December 1 and continues to Christmas. Any and all items we take to the Food Pantry are appreciated.
