DESCRIPTION:

The students would be made aware of their environment by watching for garbage receptacles, outhouses and water stations in order to keep the Trail clean. There will be a focus on where students are located on the Bay, N,E,S,W, fog and clouds will be touched on also. Identifying flowers, trees and browsing would be covered.

One of the main focuses of this field trip would be to have students learn about what to do before going on a hike. They should know some safety rules about hiking and what to do in case of an emergency. The guide on the hike would cover information on what to do, where to go and why these things should be done in case someone was to get lost in the woods. A bit of history and folklore are options for this age group, depending on time.

If these walls could talk… and they do! Experience the Gaol cells where you are surrounded by the recently uncovered prisoner graffiti that makes every nook and cranny come alive. Explore through the twenty-two themed galleries of the museum and discover the captivating and thought-provoking stories of life in Albert County. Relax in our 20 seat theatre and watch our remarkable biographical film on Prime Minister Bennett’s life. A personal Guided Tour will weave you through the intricate tapestry that is Albert County’s History.
