UPDATE: Stage I Fire Restrictions Announced on Federal Lands

Missoula – Federal land management agencies will implement Stage I Fire Restrictions, effective 12:01 AM, Thursday, August 7th. Stage I Fire Restrictions prohibit campfires outside of approved recreation sites. A list of approved recreation sites, or conditions is described for each jurisdiction below. Additionally, smoking is prohibited outside of buildings, vehicles and developed recreation sites, unless you are in a 3-foot diameter area cleared of all burnable vegetation. FLATHEAD INDIAN RESERVATION Fires are allowed in approved campgrounds and/or for cultural reasons: for tanning, sweats, etc. Please contact CS&KT officials with questions regarding the order.
