Saverio Clemente Andrea De Amici Luca Targetti

Born in Campania, Teresa Romano begins singing studies with Giuliana Valente, and graduates with honors at 20 at the Conservatorio G. Martucci of Salerno.

In July 2005 she won the Academy scholarship for opera singers at Teatro alla Scala; during the her two years of study, she performed in many concerts with piano and with orchestra, as well as in lieder concerts with James Vaughan.

In the very few years of her career, she made her debut in the leading roles of her repertoire in the most important Italian and foreign theaters, alongside musicians such as Claudio Abbado, , Placido Domingo. In November 2007 she has sung Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, conducted by Ottavio Dantone at Teatro alla Scala.

Daniele Gatti, then she has been Alice in with Circuito Lirico Lombardo alongside Ambrogio Maestri and Madama Cortese in Il Teresa Romano Viaggio a Reims staged by Luca Ronconi at the Teatro alla Scala. She Soprano opened 2010/11 Season at in Naples in La clemenza di Tito conducted by Jeffrey Tate and directed by Luca Ronconi, then at Teatro dell'Opera in Rome in Mefistofele, in Bologna and Jesi in a concert dedicated to Pergolesi conducted by Claudio Abbado, recorded for Deutsche Grammophon, at the Arena di Verona as Desdemona with Placido Domingo at the Gala in his honor, she sang in L'Aquila in a lyrical concert conducted by Riccardo Muti, she made her debut as Leonora in at the Sferisterio in Macerata conducted by Pier Luigi Pizzi and at the in Parma during the Festival Verdi, singing the role of Leonora in .

She performerd the role of Amelia in at the Sferisterio of Macerata staged by P. Pizzi and Marchesa del Poggio in Un Giorno di Regno at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona, La Clemenza di Tito in Marseille, Verdi's Requiem conducted by Omer Wellber and again Vitellia in La Clemenza di Tito in Modena.

In June 2013 she was one of the five finalists in the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition, as the italian representative and in September 2015 she won the second prize in the international competition for dramatic voices "Elizabeth Connell" in Sydney.

She has recently made her debut as Turandot with the Circuito Lirico Lombardo, at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona and at Teatro Regio in Turin, she covered at in Andrea Chenier, conducted by Riccardo Chailly, and has been again Turandot at Palau de les Arts Reina Sofìa in Valencia and Santuzza in for Circuito Lombardo, her debut in as Amneris at Tiroler Festspiele Erl, again Turandot at La Fenice and the US debut at Sarasota Opera with La Wally
