EXECUTIVE SUMMARY 1.1 INTRODUCTION Gujarat Commerce College is our heritage bequeathed to us by our freedom fighters and our martyred novice Veer Vinod Kinariwala. We the current teachers are the trustees and custodians of the values that pulsate within its existence. One of the oldest and vibrating places during Indian freedom struggle, Gujarat College, the first established college of the state bifurcated its commerce section to aggrandize on 15th July, 1993 as Gujarat Commerce College. Since then the institute has evolved as a unique center by providing equal opportunities for growth and development to students coming from mired strata of society commensurate with its heritage structure and past glory. The institute continuously strive to handover baton of values and ethics to the future citizens of the nation and emboldens them to face the vagaries of future. In order to achieve this, we have incorporated stretched the horizons of academic ambience and facilities that house computer lab, Digital English Language Lab, Wi-Fi campus, classrooms with LCDs, smart board among many others. The pedagogic approaches and styles help the institute to deviate from traditional academics within permissible limit and wings decision making at the smallest level of operation. The multi-level feedbacks point out at the functional lacuna make corrections and help invalidating institutional unique initiatives.
