15TH Sunday in Ordinary Time When I had the privilege to travel to the Holy Land July 11, 2021 with my classmates last January, it was a truly Amos 7:12-15 remarkable trip. While there, we went to church after church Psalm 85:9-10, 11-12, 13-14 that commemorated anything from the Annunciation to the Ephesians 1:3-14 /Mark 7:13 Holy Sepulcher. It was a muddy, weedy, dirty mess: a far cry from Dolan, Matt Rosebrough, Mary Ann Davis, Mike what we would’ve expected from the place of Christ’s baptism. The Bible is God’s inspired word, yet it still uses the same style cover as countless other books on our shelves. We see so many ordinary things that truly are extraordinary, beneath the surface.
