Biography Sgt T.K. Dalheim, CD Sgt Trevor Dalheim is retiring from the CF on 9 Aug 2009 after 20 years of service in the regular CF. Born in New West Minster, BC, and raised in Onoway, AB, Sgt Dalheim enrolled in the Canadian Forces on August 10, 1989 in Edmonton as an armoured crewman. Following his basic training at CFRC Cornwallis and his Recce crewman training at CFB Gagetown, he was posted to CFB Calgary with the Lord Strathcona’s Horse in March of 1990. While with the LdSH he spent most of his time in Recce Sqn, but in between stints with the fighting troops, he spent 2 yrs as member of Signals Troop, RHQ. In 1994 he deployed to Bosnia on Op Cavalier, as an RRB Driver and Switchboard Operator. In July 1996 he was posted to CFB Edmonton, when CFB Calgary closed. In 1997, after a 4½ yr administrative battle, he finally received his OT to WFE Tech and attended WFE Tech QL-3 training at CFSME Chilliwack. He was posted to 4 Wing Cold Lake in November 1997. In October 1998, with 4 hrs notice, he deployed with the DART on OP Central (Honduras). In 2001 he attended his QL-5 at CFSME Gagetown, and upon completion he was promoted to MCpl. In July 2002 he was posted to CFB Edmonton and assumed the duties of WFE Team Ldr. In 2003 he attended his WFE Tech QL-6A. In May 2005 he spent 3 weeks in CFS Alert on OP Boxtop, and in June 2005 he was posted to CFB Wainwright via Afghanistan (Roto 0, Op Archer). He finally attended his PLQ in September 2006 and was promoted to his current rank in October 2006. While posted to CFB Wainwright he performed the duties of Plan O, Contracts Inspector and Water Treatment Plant Supervisor. For the time being Sgt Dalheim will remain in the Wainwright area (Edgerton), but he will be employed in Fort McMurray in the Water/Wastewater field. Sgt Dalheim lives with his common law wife, Michele Joy; they have five children, Jessica, Chelsey, Ashley, Garrett and Courtney, and one grandchild, Kael. .
