Specific Duties:  Liaise with supervisor in maintaining regular motorbike servicing schedule and its implementation.  To ensure that assigned motorbikes are fueled at all times  IRC drivers are responsible for the safe transportation of IRC materials and staff members.  Do daily, weekly and pre-long distance Motorbike checks. Ensure that weekly checklists are collected, inspected and filed.  Report all motorbike or equipment defects to Base Manager, diagnose motorbikes and equipment faults and repair as necessary.  Ensure allocated vehicle has valid insurance and registration. Inform Supervisor one month in advance to expiration.  Train new staff in learning to ride motorbikes on rough roads and be sure to provide necessary guidance on how to reduce risk of staff at all times when using the bikes  Ensure the maintenance of assigned motorbike tools and accessories at all times. Key Competencies:

 In-depth general understanding of motorbike maintenance  Attention to details at all times in working  Ability to organize and prioritize  Ability to work long hours and stay extra days in remote communities  Ability to ride long distances on rough roads to carryout required maintenance Qualifications. Minimum Requirements At least Junior High School Certificate  Appropriate Certification in Mechanics or verifiably experience  Written and spoken English  Pass score on IRC’s Motorbike riding test  Flexibility and willingness to work long hours if necessary  Ability to work in stressful work environments
