SD 64 NE BOWLAND FOREST LOW
14/25 Burholme Farmhouse - - II
House, probably late C18th with later C19th alterations and C17th remains. Slobbered rubble with blue slate roof, the west gable wall being slate hung. 2 storeys, 3 bays. The windows have plain stone surrounds and square mullions. Those to the 1st bay are of 2 lights, the others of 3 lights. The door, between the 1st and 2nd bays, has a chamfered surround with triangular head. Above it on the 1st floor is a small one-light window with plain stone surround. Stone gutter brackets. The chimneys are between the 2nd and 3rd bays and on the right-hand gable, where the stack projects.
