General Decisions / Announcements

The meeting of the Follow-up Committee on Preventive Measures and Measures for the Coronavirus, held on 15/07/2021, issued the following recommendations:

The Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, in coordination with the Lebanese University and the Lebanese Red Cross, work to establish points to conduct a PCR examination for arrivals to Lebanon through seaports, provided that the cost of conducting this examination is met by the Ministry of Health in a manner similar to that approved for arrivals through Rafic Hariri International Airport.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ministry of Public Works, and Transport - Directorate General of Civil Aviation Inform the competent authorities in countries, companies and international organizations concerned with aviation the content of the Minister of Public Health Circular No. 55 dated 7/08/2021 regarding the approval of the electronic vaccination certificate containing QR code as an official vaccination certificate without having to confirm it.

Based on the recommendations of the Committee No. 1069 dated 7/7/2021, especially its third item, and after tracking some positive cases and those who were in contact with them by the Epidemiological Surveillance Unit in the Ministry of Public Health, especially “in places that are hotbeds of spread of the Corona virus, and to prevent” the spread of The pandemic in society in the future”: taking the necessary measures towards the places of spread and adhering to the instructions of the Ministry of Public Health in terms of closing and sterilizing the place, provided that the employees in contact are quarantined for a period of seven days and waiting for the results of the negative PCR examination to be released to resume their work

The General Directorate of Civil Aviation issued the following statement:

1. All those wishing to come to Lebanon must have a negative PCR test from one of the accredited laboratories in the countries they come from, except for those under 12 years of age, within a maximum of 96 hours.

2. All those wishing to come to Lebanon from the United Kingdom, Brazil, United Arab Emirates, India, Malawi, Ethiopia, Zambia, Liberia, Kenya, Gambia or Sierra Leone must have a hotel reservation at their own expense for 4 days/3 nights in a hotel It is approved that hotel buses take over the transportation of passengers, and the traveler is also subject to another PCR examination during their stay.

3. All feet to Rafic Hariri International Airport are subject to a PCR examination, except for those under 12 years old and UNIFIL forces.
