Although the atrocities there had been reported worldwide, people struggled to believe them. But as the visual evidence became available and survivors began to give testimonies, the world eventually recognized the magnitude and horror of the Holocaust. PROGRAM THE NEXT 25 It was those survivors who believed the Holocaust held crucial lessons for all people Jennifer and Richard Devinki, Dinner Chairs at all times and that those lessons should be taught in the heart of America’s civic landscape—the National Mall.
