The University of Evansville takes the obligations of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) very seriously. As such, we restrict illegal peer‐to‐peer (P2P) file sharing on or university network. P2P technologies may be used for legitimate purposes such as Instructional gaming, open source downloads, and licensed distribution of media files; however , the use of P2P software to violate copyright law carries a number of possible sanctions, including loss of internet access, internal disciplinary actions, and ever civil or criminal charges. The university will make all efforts to comply with State and Federal legislations and authorities if users of the University of Evansville Network are suspected of violations. The following sites provide free, legal music and shows that you can enjoy without running the risks involved with downloading or circulating those using networks that operate outside of the copyright laws.
