Citizens of The Qontinent, THANK YOU! From all regions of our globe you came together at this very place to enjoy an amazing weekend of music and party madness. There were countless faces and flags to be spotted, of which a great number from the different countries of Eu- rope, but also representing Australia, the USA and Asia to name a few. However, no matter what your passport said, once you set foot on this island, a strong feel- ing of unity reigned and turned you into a citizen of The Qontinent. All mixed and melted together as one force, bound by love and passion for the harder styles of dance music. During this weekend you had the opportunity to explore a fresh variety of areas, sounds and genres. A spectrum that ran from divine events at the God’s Ground mainstage to distorted adventures at the Valley of the Lost and from tek religion at the Aztek Ruins to lethal beats at the Burial Grounds. Every section with its own charm and power, yet all filled with dedicated party people.

It’s safe to say that together you succeeded in unlocking the magical myster- ies of The Qontinent 2013. You were the loyal population and your colours gave significance to this island refuge. We thank you for creating another ever lasting experience.

9/10/11 august 2013 wachtebeke 9/10/11 august 2013 wachtebeke CAMPING PRE-PARTY You have just set up camp for a full weekend of party madness, took the first cold beers to your stomach and had a small-scale barbecue in front of your tent. Suddenly a craving takes over: you urgently need loud and banging beats! What do you do? Of course... you make your way to the pre-party! Because there is no better way to get the engine running than with a healthy dose of harder styles. And with three differ- ent areas, all could find something to their taste. The Qontinent 2013 has lift off!

Valley of the Lost Pre-party Main Stage

The main stage of this first phase was situated in the Valley of the Lost. For the ones who feed on hardstyle energy, this was definitely the place to be. Numbers of weekend visitors came to witness a wave of smashing kicks and fresh-cut melodies from the hands of a diverse selection of DJs. In the fashion that they rocked last year’s pre-party, the guys from In-Phase once again showed how to drive a crowd wild. Behind the same decks appeared rising stars from two of the most prominent Dutch hardstyle labels; Omegatypez representing Fusion Re- cords and representing Records. From their performances it is easy to conclude that the future of the scene looks more than bright. And with veteran Max Enforcer controlling the sound, standing still was no option and the atmosphere reached another high. After the storm of hardstyle sounds had passed, it was time for the final stroke. And this is a task that fits hardcore pioneers Endymion perfectly. By adding an extra layer of rawness they made sure that the visitors gave their last bit of energy for the day and went back to their tents in peace, ready for the many party hours to come.

God’s Ground Valley of Q-dance & Bass Events the Lost THIS IS HARDCORE (sat.)

In the Valley of the Lost it is essential to form alliances in order to stand strong. One of the most powerful hardcore cooperations of today is “This is Hardcore”. Focusing on quality and innovation, this Dutch-Italian fusion brings forth the finest of Neophyte Records and Traxtorm Records.

On Saturday, this area faced an intense wave of distorted kicks and violent bass quakes. As the noises screamed through the speakers, hardcore freaks knew ex- actly where to get their kicks. From young rebels like Alien-T to veterans like Neophyte, and from icons like Endymion to female violence from AniMe; “This is Hardcore” brought the perfect balance for a day of unrestrained rawness. And when the crowd thought that it couldn’t go harder, The Sickest Squad provided the final shot as a salute. In the Valley of the Lost, the members of “This is Hard- core” and the dedicated crowd got together to party to the max. Yes, this surely is hardcore!
