Dear resident/business owner, CREWS INSTALLING RUMBLE STRIPS IN SOUTH WEST VICTORIA
As part of Towards Zero, Regional Roads Victoria will be installing rumble strips on high-speed roads across the south west region of Victoria. These small bumps make a ‘rumbling’ sound and cause a vehicle to vibrate when driven over. This alerts drivers if they move out of their lane and helps to prevent head-on or run-off-road collisions. In October through to early December, works will begin on the following roads: Road From/To location

Timing of works Works will be completed in two stages. The number of days each stage takes is dependent on the total of kilometres to be covered for that road. Works will be taking place from 7:00am until 6:00pm on those days. Weather conditions may delay works and impact the schedule. How this may impact you Crews will be progressively installing the rumble strips along the road, with occasional lane closures and speed reductions in place. Signs will be placed at the start and finish of the works area to notify all motorists to reduce their speed to 40km/h. Access for driveways and intersections may be restricted for a maximum of 5 minutes while the crews move past. Crew installing rumble strips If you’re travelling through the area, please keep an eye out for our road crews and changes to traffic conditions. We recommend that you plan ahead and allow a little extra travel time.
