They originally appeared on the 10 disc Face The Music box set, which my dear wife Amy produced with me. Thanks Amy! It has been out of print for a while so we’re sharing them with you digitally now. Featuring unreleased Grin tracks and favorites of mine and I’m so grateful to the many talented musicians that grace this collection. Grin’s version of Keith Don’t Go features an inspired performance by Neil Young on piano and vocals. It rocks! Also, one of the greatest voices ever, Lou Gramm duets on Some Must Dream and I’ll Arise. Truly an honor. Hope you all enjoy these tracks and thank you all for listening all these decades. The album was released in July 1979 and with it Young was venturing into a dialogue of folk music and rock music. On side one of the album the sound is acoustic and simple, reminiscent of the folk genre whereas on side two Young is accompanied by his band, The Crazy Horse, and the sound is electric, reminiscent of the rock genre. By doing this, Young is establishing the music and questions of genre and the interconnectivity between folk music and rock music as one of the theme’s of the album. Young explores these ideas even further in the imagery of the lyrics on the album by using popular culture icons. The title of the album alone symbolizes the idea of both death and mortality, declaring that originality is transitory. Furthermore he uses recurring images, such as death, to portray his criticism on the music business and lack of originality in contemporary musicians. Ideas of artistic freedom are portrayed through images such as nature and travel using both ships and road to symbolize the importance of re-invention.

This 2009 Harley Davidson Soft Tail was presented to me after playing the Harley Davidson 105th Year Anniversary with Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band in August of 2008. As a member of The E Street Band I have been performing with Bruce and the band for over L3 years in hundreds of concerts in the United States and around the world including 9 recorded albums. I have kept this Harley in storage looking for the right organization and event that would raise money for high school students through scholarships in Arts or Music. lt is my pleasure to wish the lucky winner of this Raffle many years of enjoyment and many thanks for your contribution to the success of many students in their ongoing education and dreams to succeed and make a difference in America. This autographed Harley Davidson by all of the members of the band is a collectors' dream and documentation of one of the greatest American musical groups.
