No! The competition is completely free to register for and Netball NSW will not be charging schools anything for this competition. Who can enter? There will be both a Primary and Secondary School competition open to any NSW School. Entries will be accepted via classes. There is no limit to the number of classes a School can enter. However, a student may only represent one class. It is suggested that for Secondary Schools classes could be entered as Homeroom or PE classes. How long will the competition run for? The first weeks challenges will be released on Friday 28th August, with the final weeks challenges due by Friday 6th November. What is Suncorp Super Netball (SSN)? Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) is the national netball league in Australia. Arguable the best netball competition in the world. There are eight (8) teams in the SSN and Netball NSW has two teams, the NSW Swifts and GIANTS Netball. The remaining teams are the Adelaide Thunderbirds, Melbourne Vixens, Queensland Firebirds, West Coast Fever Magpies Netball Club and the Sunshine Coast Lightning. There will be SSN themed challenges across the 10 weeks of the Virtual Challenge. We encourage you and your class to watch SSN as it may help you with challenges along the way! You can watch live on Channel 9 or the Netball Live App or catch up later in the App or Free on 9Now. FIND OUT MORE Do I have to go anywhere for the competition? The competition is designed so that it can be done entirely from home or in your classroom! Some challenges you may need class-mates to help you with, but as all the challenges are optional, if there’s one you can’t do, there will be different challenges you can try instead. Schools Cup Virtual Challenge FAQs 2 What will the challenges be like? There will be 3 - 4 weekly challenges released each Friday, one will be a class-room themed challenge, one will tie in to Suncorp Super Netball and one will be a fun physical challenge. There will also be a list of bonus challenges which your class can complete to get ahead of the rest! How many points will the challenges be worth? The points for each challenge completed will change week to week, some challenges will be worth more points and some less, you’ll have to check in each week to find out! I’m not able to complete the whole weekly challenge, will I still get points? Even if you can’t finish an entire challenge activity, still submit it because you might still be able to get a couple of points for it! We will accept unfinished challenge submissions as long as they’re submitted before the deadline! When will I receive my weekly challenges and when do I have to submit them by? You will receive an email every Friday with the following weeks challenges. You will then have until the following Friday complete and submit the weeks challenges. We will accept late submissions over the weekend. However, there will be a penalty of -1 point per day late. No submission will be accepted once the next week has begun. What are the bonus challenges, is there a time limit on these? You have the whole competition to submit the bonus challenges so you can take as much or as little time as you want to complete them as long as they’re submitted no later than Friday 13th November. My Class missed week one of the competition, can we still join? Yes of course! Classes are welcome to sign up at any stage of the competition. The only time limit on challenges is making sure to get them in by the end of each week. What is the best way for me to submit my weekly challenge?
