COFFEE FELLOWSHIPS TO HONOR KAREN CARSON On Sunday, October 12, both coffee fellowships will honor retiring Karen Carson, our church Organist and Business Manager for 15 1/2 years. The congregation will miss her and her contribution to our worship services, but we are happy for Karen and her future with time now for her husband, travel and personal pleasures. Karen began piano and organ lessons at the age of six and has a God-given talent for church music. At sixteen she became the organist for a church in Denison, Texas. She began her business career after studying business and music at Grayson County Junior College in Denison. She and her husband owned and operated a chain of Levi-Strauss specialty shops in Oklahoma City and from there, a partnership in an independent oil company. Later they owned a 1,600 acre cattle ranch in Oklahoma. In 1992, Karen was hired as the Business Manager and Organist for The Church at Horseshoe Bay.
