Infant Welfare Circle F. J. Sensenbrenner Scholarship Semi-finalists may be required to participate in an interview as part of the application process.

Frank J. Sensenbrenner Scholarship was established in 1952 with an initial gift from Gertrude Bergstrom, in memory of Mr. Sensenbrenner, one of the founders of Kimberly Clark. The fund has grown over the years with additional contributions.

Eligibility: Graduating high school seniors from Appleton high schools who have a minimum 3.5 grade point average and will be enrolled in a program leading to a minimum four-year degree at one of the following schools: Lawrence , , St. Norbert or an institution within the University of system. Preference may be given to students who reside in Appleton. The ideal candidate will demonstrate: • Scholastic achievement • Leadership • Financial need

Award Amount: One $1,000 per semester renewable scholarship award for up to four years (total $8,000) to a full-time student attending one of the above listed schools.

Selection: Recipients are selected each spring by the Infant Welfare Circle F. J. Sensenbrenner Scholarship Selection Committee within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region.

Payment Procedure: Scholarship payments will be released after submission of the following to the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region: completed scholarship verification form (located at www.cffoxvalley.org/scholarships) and verification of full time student status (class schedule with credits listed). For subsequent semesters the student must submit all of the above documentation along with prior semester’s grade report (unofficial grade report will suffice). After approval of submitted documentation, the scholarship check will be paid directly to the school the recipient will be attending each semester. Most communications between the Community Foundation and the student will be via email; please keep us advised of your current email address.

Loss of Eligibility: Failure to maintain full time student status with a 2.5 GPA at one of the following schools: , Marquette University, St. Norbert College or an institution within the University of Wisconsin system.
