It is easy to talk to people, do random acts of kindness, and say what you really feel. 8 Creation Seminar With life going by so fast, we don’t take time to keep in touch with those we know; and 9 FEAST Science Workshops don’t make an effort to reach out to those we don’t know. Try reconnecting with the true 10 Ribbon-Cutting Photos meaning of Christmas. 11 Leaders Luncheon Follow-Up 12 Joyfully His If you think back over the last five Christmas Seasons, could you write a one-paragraph 13 Playtime Challenge story about each one? Personally, I feel like they blend together after a while. I may have a happy memory, but I can’t remember which year it happened, or maybe one year all my 14 Humane Society family was able to be together, but I did not make the time to get pictures of everyone and 15 Feature Web Page make it memorable.

May31A lot was academic among the month of May then a quite peculiar and crazy start to the MLS season surrounded April. Things are a lot clearer than a month ago and we pretty much have a solid fancy of who is contending and who is impartial flat out wrong.WVH Player of the Month: Juan Pablo Angel, F, Red Bull New York ¡§C Was there any doubt about this an Three goals, two assist. The Red Bulls have been on flame since he arrived and will probably continue to do so since, oddly enough they weren?¡¥t ache by any Gold Cup call ups. Weird how that worked out. Expect the class and goals to come among the summer with this guy also.WVH Coach of the Month: Steve Morrow, alabama football jersey, FC Dallas ¡§C Okay, so it is a homer elect on my part merely seriously, nike combat nfl jersey, despite always of the oddness surrounding Carlos Ruiz, Morrow base a way to adviser his club to a approximate absolute May. They knocked Chicago and KC aboard the road, two very tough places to win by Morrow has found the right mingle with his team and ambition continue to must tinker with lineups do to always of these summer call-ups.WVH Youngster of the Month: Maurice Edu, Toronto FC ¡§C Definitely is showing us why he was drafted numeral an according Toronto surrounded this past year?¡¥s chart I adore watching this children activity in the midfield. He undoubtedly has a quite bright future at first him.WVH Keeper of the Month: Bouna Coundoul, Colorado Rapids ¡§C After a never to great begin Bouna has quickly chanced an of the more dependable keepers in the alliance Some flat out amazing saves as of late adds to his impressive form.WVH Best Atmosphere of the Month: Houston Dynamo along DC United ¡§C Toronto is still great barely I have to give a hat peak to the Screaming Eagles and always the other crazies by DC.

“REAL” JOBS Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback TOMMY MADDOX once pitched insurance policies before he got a job throwing footballs. JOSE CORTEZ of the Kansas City Chiefs, the only NFL player in history born in El Salvador, was once a roofer. And everybody knows that 2001 NFL MVP KURT WARNER once stocked groceries. Indeed, a surprising number of NFL players had “real” jobs before they came into the league. “Football is a blue-collar man’s game,” says former Washington Redskins cornerback DARRELL GREEN. And maybe that’s why the league is filled with so many former “blue-collar” workers. Following is a list of “real jobs” previously held by some NFL players: PLAYER, TEAM CAREER(S) David Akers, Philadelphia Substitute teacher; waiter James Allen, Houston Worked at Houston recording studio Mitch Berger, St. Louis Pumped gas in Canada Jose Cortez, Kansas City Roofer Mark Dixon, Miami Golf course lawn maintenance Jay Feely, Atlanta Financial consultant Ray Jackson, Cincinnati Wal-Mart sporting goods employee Michael Lewis, New Orleans Budweiser truck driver Tommy Maddox, Pittsburgh Insurance salesman Fred McCrary, New England Corrections officer David Patten, New England Landscaper, electrician, truck loader Nathan Poole, Arizona Youth counselor Jeff Saturday, Indianapolis Electrical supply company Al Wallace, Carolina Public school assistant principal Kurt Warner, St. Louis Stocked groceries OTHER JOBS Football takes up a lot of their time, but that has not prevented a good number of NFL players from preparing for life after the game by jumping into some other lines of work even as they “moonlight” on the football field. For example, Philadelphia Eages cornerback TROY VINCENT – the 2002 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year – is a full-fledged offseason entrepreneur.

SGT. YORK TROPHY In July 2007, the Nashville Sports Council and the Ohio Valley Con- ference announced the creation of the Sergeant York Trophy which goes to the winner of the quadrangular season football series between the four Ohio Valley Conference schools located in the state of Tennessee – Austin Peay State University, University of Tennessee at Martin, Tennessee State University and Tennessee Technological University. The award is only the second traveling trophy that involves more than two teams in college sports; the other is the Commander in Chief’s Trophy which has been contested between Air Force, Army and Navy annually since 1972. The award is presented by Delta Dental of Tennessee and Farm Bureau Health Plans of Tennessee. In a close race, Tennessee State and Austin Peay shared the inaugural award, fi nishing with identical 2-1 records in 2007. Tennessee State took the trophy home with it thanks to a one-point victory in overtime over the Governors; that game was decided by a blocked extra point by NFL First Round Draft Pick Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie. The award is named in honor of Alvin C. York, the most noted Soldier of World War I. As a corporal in the 2nd battalion, 328th Infantry, in the Battle of the Meuse River-Argonne (Oct. 8, 1918), York and seven other soldiers captured 132 prisoners, was promoted to sergeant and received the Distinguished Service Cross, the French Croix de Guerre, the French Legion of Honor, the Croce di Guerra of Italy and the War Medal of Montenegro. Upon his return to the United States in 1919, he was bestowed the Congressional Medal of Honor.
