HORSHAM DISTRICT COUNCIL (OFF-STREET PARKING PLACES)

GENERAL ORDER 2006 (AMENDMENT NO. 27) ORDER 2016

NOTICE is hereby given that District Council in the exercise of its powers under Section 32 and 35(1)(a)(i)(ii) (iii) and (iv), (3)(a)(b)(3A) and (3B) to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and of all other enabling powers, proposes to make The Council (Off-Street Parking Places) General Order 2006 (Amendment No. 27) Order 2016, the effect of which will be as follows:

• To make amendments to the charging and operating procedures to the following car parks:-

The Street, Playfield (including Coach park), Bolney Road, The Library, High Street, Village Hall,Coopers Way, Henfield Village Hall, Little Oak, Godwin Way, Roffey Newmans Gardens, Tanyard Lane, High Street, Steyning Fletchers Croft, Vicarage Lane, Steyning High Street, Village Hall, Hollands Way,

• To introduce an annual district-wide rural car parking permit at a cost of £12 per annum with second and subsequent permits at a cost of £6

• To introduce an annual season ticket at a cost of £130 per annum

• To introduce a Pay & Display scheme for short stay visits at a cost of £1.50 for 3 hours and 0.75p for 1 hour

• To amend the charging hours in the above car parks

• To remove the above car parks from the current schedules:-

Category G, I, J, K, L and O Schedules

and add to revised Categories:-

Category I Schedule - The Street, Bramber Playfield, Bolney Road, Cowfold Village Hall, Little Oak, Partridge Green Godwin Way, Roffey High Street, Upper Beeding Village Hall, Hollands Way, Warnham Category J Schedule - High Street, Steyning Category L Schedule - Playfield,(Coach Park), Bolney Road, Cowfold Category O Schedule - Village Hall, Coopers Way, Henfield The Library, High Street, Henfield Newmans Gardens, Tanyard Lane, Steyning Fletchers Croft, Vicarage Lane, Steyning

• The Order will come into effect on 1st April 2017.

A copy of the Draft Order together with a statement of the Council’s reasons for making it may be inspected at the Council’s Offices at Parkside, Chart Way, Horsham, Monday to Friday between the hours of 9.00am and 5.00pm.

If you wish to object to the Draft Order you should send your objection in writing, specifying the grounds, to the name and address below by 2016.
