The easy meeting of nationalities the learning of new cultures new food, new sights, new dresses the bonding at new junctures
The thrill of the overseas tour the camaraderie on the buses the confusion over the baggage some fun and some grudges
As we now bid goodbye at the end of NDC 2011 I carry memories for life and friendships forever. At Shantiniketon

‘Shantiniketon’ a very craved name to all the Bangladeshis which remind us the name of Rabindranath Tagore, the Nobel Laureate Bengali Poet. He planted the seed of peace in Bangla ‘Shanti’ in Shantiniketon. The NDC 2011 course members during their study tour to India visited Shantiniketon. The cool, tranquil environment prevailing in the Shantiniketon area amazed them and gave them a feeling of complacency. Visiting team members observed the memories of the great poet Rabindranath Tagore spreaded all over the area. They came to know how a poet created the greatest literatures sitting in the calmness of nature in ‘Shantiniketon’ At the end everyone agreed and confessed it to be a place that one must visit. 74 Sea Cruise to Helsinki - Viking Lines (GABRIELLA)

The visiting members of National Defence Course 2011 to Sweden utilized their weekend endeavoring a wonderful sea cruise to Helsinki. The team boarded on the huge cruise ship of Viking Lines ‘GABRIELLA’ on 30 September 2011 afternoon. The cruise ship sailed through the Celtic sea. The marvelous landscape of the small islands amazed all the members. Everyone enjoyed the scenic beauty till darkness engulfed the blue water. The cruise ship offered a colossal and grand night life also. The merry melodies, dishes made the night a memorable one for all. The ship landed in Helsinki in the morning of 01 October 2011. A planned short city tour was arranged beforehand that gave the visiting team to have a brief idea on the culture and heritage of Finland. After a fresh breath of air in Helsinki and a heart full of satisfaction the member boarded on ‘GABRIELLA’ for the return journey to Stockholm. The cruise definitely turned out to be the best event of the overseas study tour of NDC 2011. Graduation Dinner Graduation Dinner was arranged on 08 December 2011, Mr Abul Maal Abdul Muhith, Honourable Finance Minister was the Chief Guest. It was attended by the Services Chiefs and many other dignitaries
